Espírito Santo

Espiritu Santo, directly translated as the "Holy Spirit" in English, is a Brazilian state situated in the southeastThe capital of Espírito Santo is Vitória, which is situated on an island. Because of its extensive coastline, this state is well known for its sand dunes, ports, and beaches (http://www.brazil.org.za/espirito-santo.html). Vila Velha (old town), coastal town in ES across from Vitória.

ES has a tropical climate along the coast, with dry winters and wet summers. Where the landscape becomes more mountainous inland, temperatures drop. Espírito Santo produces some very important crops, such as rice, coffee, sugarcane, bananas, maize and cacao (http://www.brazil.org.za/espirito-santo.html).

The vast majority (well over 80%, in fact) of the population in Espírito Santo lives in the urban areas.

Paulo César Vinha Park
The Paulo César Vinha State Park is a state park in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. It protects an area of dunes, lagoons and marshes along the Atlantic shore.


The Third BridgeThe Deputy Darcy Castelo de Mendonça Bridge, colloquially known as the Third Bridge, is the second tallest bridge in Brazil, connecting the cities of Vila Velha and Vitória in the state of Espirito Santo. Construction began on the bridge in 1978 and was completed and 11 years later on August 23, 1989 (https://travel.sygic.com/en/poi/third-bridge-poi:15441933)



Pontões Capixabas Natural Monument is a natural monument in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil.



Igreja Reis Magos Church was completed in 1580, and one of the best examples of Jesuit architecture in Brazil. The church altar, built in 1701, features a carved wooden altarpiece and in the center is a work by the painter Frei Belchior Paulo, depicting the adoration of the Magi. The painting is considered one of the first oil paintings in Brazil.
