Paraná

Paranaguá

Paraná is bordered by São Paulo, the Atlantic Ocean, Santa Catarina, Argentina, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraguay and the Paraná River.

Igauzu Falls

The Iguazu Falls are what divides the river of the same name into its upper and lower portions. The river forms the boundary between Brazil and Argentina, which makes it a significant part of the political and geographical structure of South America.

A Comida

Barreado: boiled beef cooked many hours in a casket served with rice and bananas.

  1. It's fascinating the diverse population that Paraná houses; it reminded me of Santa Catarina and their random large German population. The Barreado looks delicious! There seemed to be a large emphasis on education here. I also found it interesting how they pride themselves on keeping their city green; they implemented a system that seems to be very successful. Lastly, those waterfalls are insane!

  2. Iguazu Falls are incredible!!! They have been featured in a number of movies, and one of my favorites, "The Mission" which also features the Guarani people. Parana looks so lush and green, it is no wonder that they incorporated it into their city. Paranagua looks amazing too and full of rich history.

  3. I like the place of the waterfalls because it can be a place where everyone can come together directly with nature. As someone who would like to write fiction, I think that these places would more likely be places to be inspired to create more things in the fictional universe. The food see,s quite extravagant for me! I barely get out of my "comfort zone" where I only consume cereal and oatmeal and fruits. I do see that it has fruits in it, but I'm not a person who would try new foods. But maybe I'll give it a try to this one :)

  5. WOW. Those pictures of the waterfalls are unbelievable. Paraná seems amazing because for such a small state, it contains so many different cultures and architectural influences from so many other countries. In the video of Curitiba, I admired how conscious the city was about implementing tasks to ensure that the city remained environmentally friendly by building or protecting current parks, developing an affordable and reliable public transit system, and building recreational park areas for working out outdoors and helping citizens stay active. Paraná seems like a very fun and relaxing place to visit.

  6. The food of Paraná looks a little strange and different but I would be willing to try it and who knows maybe it would great! The Falls look so big and amazing, I have been to Niagara Falls before and fell in love this is so much bigger and looks so much cooler. I wonder if it is possible to take a boat ride like in Niagara falls. Paraná seems beautiful and I would love to visit someday!

  8. The environmental awareness, and the development of an infrastructure that is focused on clean and renewable energy is outstanding. The picture of the waterfalls is breathtaking, and I hope one day I can go witness it in real life. Brazil just continues to amaze me.
